Amandus Kunesh

Amandus Mandy Harold Kunesh, 64, of 26 Eden Acres Lane, a lifelong resident of Great Falls went to see his heavenly father on March 20, 2014 at the Benefis Hospital after a long courageous battle with respiratory failure. A funeral liturgy will be held at OConnor Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge in Black Eagle immediately following the service. Mandy was born on October 30, 1949 at the old Columbus Hospital to Victor and Marie (Wagner) Kunesh. He attended local schools and graduated from CMR in 1969. He was a kind, gentle giant who was loved by everyone. He enjoyed watching his brothers on the job and no matter what was laid on his plate, he was always courageous and said, It is, what it is. He was willing to help his fellow man no matter what the circumstance. He loved his family dearly and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Montana Grizzlies and Ohio State Buckeyes. He is survived by his brother, Al (Coni) Kunesh of Great Falls; sister Vonne (Joe Guidotti) Hall of Great Falls, Bennette (Dan) Singer of Sherwood, OH; and brother-in-law Jim Justinger of Coldwater, MI; nephews Rick (Sandy) Larson of Belt, Doug Justinger of Defiance, OH; and Scott (Stephanie) Singer of Ney, OH; nieces Connie (John) Higbea of Defiance, OH and Rebecca Singer of Sherwood, OH; along with several cousins; great nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Roger Kunesh; sister Anne Justinger; and nephew Bryan Kunesh. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 409 13th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405. Mandy will be loved forever and dearly missed.
