Our sassy, high spirited, extremely loved Mom and Grandma left us April 18, 2021, with her large family by her side. Known to many as “Eda”, she was a friend to all. Anita was a unique soul. She loved spending time with her large family. She was proud to be a true “west-sider”. Anita was a jack of all trades from sewing many barbie outfits to fixing her own car. She loved watching sports, especially baseball and hockey. One of Anita’s favorite times was her horse racing days. She loved being at the track with the entire family taking care of the horses. Anita’s family includes, Suzie (Tim) Doughty and their children, Laura, Tyson, Maverick, Olivia, Derek, Tressa, Cole, Sadie, and Kinslee; Cindy (Jimmy) Clark and their children, Jen, Lonnie, Lily, Tierney, Justin, Ashley, Connor, Cooper, Corbin, Tyler, and Jeremy; Linda Rae Cornell and her children, Ashley, Brian, Aidan, Hudson, Jessica, and Jake; Jaylene Murphy and her children, Kayla, Jesse, Isabelle, and Cody; and her brother, Joe McCracken. Eda had many jobs in her life, but her favorite was her last job as a “communications specialist.” She would call each family member and friend at least 90 times a day to check on them! Eda will be greatly missed! We would like to express our extreme gratitude to the Benefis Staff and Peace Hospice for their wonderful support and care. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made in Anita’s name to First Church of the Nazarene. A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 1727 2nd Ave So. Please wear your favorite Irish colors and masks are encouraged.
