Anna Maria Mierzwinski, 97, formerly of Great Falls, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 of natural causes in Shelby. A private family service will be held in Great Falls. Anna was born in Braushweia-Miedzne, Poland on April 4, 1917. She met Stanislaw Mierzwinski at the Wild Feeken displaced persons camp in Germany. They were married at the camp December 26, 1945. Anna and Stan moved to the Fairfield, MT area in 1949, and then later moved to Great Falls. Anna worked at the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind, working with the children in the cafeteria. She proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1970 and was very devoted to her Catholic faith. Anna is survived by her son Teddy Mierzwinski of Shelby; son-in-law William F. Cole of Chester; grandsons Pat and Eric Mierzwinski and Ed Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanislaw Mierzwinski; and daughters Tresa Mierzwinski and Krystyna Cole.
