Aubrey Grant Bounds

January 6, 1931 — September 14, 2012

Aubrey G. “Dick” Bounds, 81, of Great Falls, former owner of B & T Paving, and a US Marine Corps Korean War veteran, died from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and diabetes on Friday, September 14th at a local nursing home. A memorial service was held on Monday (yesterday) at the Manchester Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home. Aubrey “Dick” Bounds was born in in Crowder, Mississippi on January 6, 1931 to J.C. and Zula Bounds. Dick worked in the construction field for many years and was the co-owner of B & T Paving until becoming ill. He served in the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Korean War. Dick was a member and volunteer of Highland and Westside Baptist Churches. He was also a volunteer driver for the Disabled American Veterans for many years. Dick was an avid outdoorsman and he was passionate about fishing and hunting. When football season started, he could be counted on to “predict” the winning teams. He often maintained that he could predict the winners better than the pro’s, but this wasn’t commonly acknowledged by his family and friends. Dick loved to visit and pass time with others. He enjoyed playing table games and cards, and he became a darn good dart player. His concern for the well-being of his family and others and his fondness for American veterans is well known. He could make a stranger feel welcome and his home was always open. His family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Helena and Great Falls VA, DAV of America, Eagles Manor, Park Place, Easter Seals, Medallion Home Health and all of the doctors, nurses and care-givers who worked hard to keep him healthy and comfortable throughout the years. GOD Bless you all. Your skills, patience and concern extended his life. He is survived by his sons and their spouses, Rick and Teddie Warren of Lewiston, ID and Larry Warren of Orofino, ID and their children and grandchildren; his “kids”, Connie Hayes and Philip Brosseau of Great Falls, Pat and Jane Brosseau of Federal Way, WA and Joe and Shirley Barcellos of Sequim, WA and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parent, J.C. and Zula Bounds; his brother and sister-in-in law, Jim and Christine Bounds and his wife, Alyce Bounds. P.S. Bucky, tell Mom we love her and we’ll see you and all the others soon enough.
