Barbara Ann Cottrell

Barbara Ann “Barbie” (Rutledge) Cottrell, 44, of Vaughn, a Resident Advisor for the Great Falls Pre-Release Center passed away at her home on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at O’Connor Funeral Home Funeral. Funeral services will be held at on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church with internment to follow at Manchester Cemetery. Barbara was born June 14, 1969 in Salem, OH to Charles and Joyce (Huff) Rutledge. She was raised and educated in Ohio and graduated from Beaver Local High School in Lisbon, OH. She attended Youngstown University and earned two bachelor’s degrees. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, spending time in the mountains, and most of all the time spent with her husband, children and family. Barbara is survived by her husband, Joe Cottrell of Vaughn; daughter Abgail Cottrell of Vaughn; sons Joey Cottrell and Adam Cottrell of Vaughn; mother and step father Joyce and Gary Cottrell of Great Falls; father and step mother Charles and Janice Rutledge of East Palestine, OH; sister Tracey Shields of East Liverpool, OH; half-sister Kelly Rutledge of OH; brother Kevin (Melissa) Barnhouse of Somerset, KY; and half-brother Michael Rutledge of OH. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Harold and Patty Huff, Harry and Leona Rutledge and an Uncle Harold Huff Jr. Barbara loved children and the family has asked that any memorials be made to a children’s charity of the donor’s choice.
