Barbara Roberts

Barbara Sanders Roberts, 58, of Great Falls passed away at a local care facility on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from complications from diabetes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Central Christian Church. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home. Barbara was born on November 21, 1957 to Edward and Iris (Olmstead) Sanders in Great Falls. She was raised in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School. She went on to become a CNA and then a medical transcriptionist. Barbara also became a Deacon at Central Christian Church. She was united in marriage to Ray Roberts and the two later divorced. Barbara was a very talented quilter and enjoyed sewing. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Park Place for taking such good care of Barbara over the years. Barbara is survived by her ex-husband, Ray Roberts of Helena; daughters Abby Roberts of Helena and Becky (Brett Michels) Roberts of Missoula; sisters Vivian (Chris) Hunter and Sheryl (Randy) Knowles both of Great Falls; sister-in-law Mary Sanders; and brother-in-law Mike O’Boyle. She was preceded in death by her brother Wayne Sanders; sister Linda O’Boyle; and parents Ed and Iris Sanders. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
