Barbara Jean Young

Barbara Jean Young, 63, of Great Falls, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Peace Hospice. At her request, no services are planned. Cremation is in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Barbara was born on November 12, 1952 in Freeport, IL to Ellwyn and Alice Holmes. She graduated from Lena-Winslow High School in Lena, IL in 1970 and earned her RN degree from John A. Logan College in Carterville, IL. Barbara worked for 30 years in various nursing homes and hospitals. She moved to White Sulphur Springs in 1988 and she lived in many communities in Montana before buying a place in Ulm in the 1990’s. Barbara enjoyed photography and fishing. She had a real love for horses and her dog, Pepper. Barbara is survived by her brothers Richard (Eleanor) Holmes and Kenneth (Karen) Holmes. She was preceded in death by her parents Ellwyn F. and Alice V. (Harrell) Holmes.
