Betty "Joyce" Wennerberg

Betty “Joyce” Wennerberg, 82, of Great Falls, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at O’Connor Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Highland Cemetery. Joyce was born on February 21, 1938, in Conrad to Simon and Francis (Faire) Moritz. She worked as a nurse’s aide (CNA) as well as in the kitchen. She was a very dedicated member of the Central Christian Church for over fifty years. She attended Sunday school and worship services every Sunday and Mirium Group every Thursday night. She loved to donate her time whenever she was able to. It meant the world to her. She donated one Friday every month to the FISH program. She married Donald Lee Wennerberg and together they had six children. Joyce and Donald raised their six children on the block of 18th Ave S, where they found more than friends and neighbors. They found one big family, and they held a very special place in her heart. She had a lot of love in her big heart. She gave meaning to the word, saint. Joyce loved to play games with her family, from board games to endless card games. She also loved a good game of dirty marbles. Every other Monday she spent her afternoon playing “Holy Rummoli,” with the ladies. Baking was another hobby she favored just as much as ash she loved planting her flowers every spring. Her flower bed was always so beautiful. Just as beautiful as her. She is survived by her daughters, Roberta (John Miller) Wennerberg of Great Falls and Kathy (Dave) Welling of Ulm; sons, Mike, Greg (Debbie), and John Wennerberg all of Great Falls, and Robert (Kristin) Wennerberg of Billings; four sisters; five brothers; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; their twin boys; parents, Simon and Francis; mother and father-in-law, Bernice and Bernard; brother, Leroy; and granddaughter, Dayne.
