Brett James Tramelli, passed away in his home on December 11, 2021 at the age of 61. Brett was born October 1, 1960 in Great Falls, Montana to Michael and Ethel (Reid) Tramelli. The youngest of 5 siblings, Brett quickly learned to roll with the punches. Brett was always easy going, even as a child. In his youth he explored the Riverview area, only causing minor mischief. Brett graduated from CM Russell High School in 1979 and attended college at the University of Montana. He was a man of many trades, working at refineries in Texas and Great Falls, did a stint with UPS, was a Trainman with MRL in Missoula, and worked for school districts in Great Falls and Helena. Prior to retirement, Brett was employed at the Great Falls Civic Center. An elected Democrat in 2000, Brett served one term in the Montana State House, representing Black Eagle, and the lower North and South sides of Great Falls. Brett always found joy in the simplest of things in life. He was a sports enthusiast and you didn't often see him around town without his Celtics coat on. His support for his Jets, Mets, Celtics and Griz was unwavering. Where there was music, you would find Brett. He frequented music festivals and concerts across the state setting up camp in his mini Winnie with his pup in tow. Fishing the rivers and streams of the state were another favorite hobby, his fishing pole was always handy. Brett had the best laugh in the world, those lucky enough to hear it would not soon forget it. He often would sit undisturbed on the Missouri and speak with the hummingbirds, and until the end he was unapologetically a mama's boy. A ladies man the majority of his life, Brett's best girlfriend by his side at the end was Corlie, his pug and bestest girl, they were inseparable. Brett is survived by his siblings Gail Tramelli of Helena, Mike Tramelli of Carlton, Oregon, Rudy Tramelli of Cascade, Lynn Tramelli of Black Eagle and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held next Spring on the Missouri. Memorial donations are suggested to Black Eagle Volunteer Fire Department, 527 21st St NE (Box 533), Black Eagle, MT 59414.
