Carol "Kelly" Irene Reiss

Carol “Kelly” Reiss passed away on July 15, 2022, at Goldstone Assisted Living in Great Falls, Montana.

A memorial service will be held on Friday August 5, 2022, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m.

Kelly was born in Great Falls on December 12, 1945. She was married to Richard “Dick” Reiss in December 1962, and they had three children, Wendy, Danny, and Brenda.

She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed camping, reading, and cooking with her family and friends. Kelly started her career working at Ford’s Drive-In where she met her future husband. She then kept working with the public by working several jobs some of which included Cascade County Nursing Home, Howard’s Pizza, and Albertsons. After Kelly retired, she enjoyed working as an aide on the school buses.

Kelly was known for being the family beautician cutting, coloring, and perming many family and friends’ hair. She also was an amazing crocheter making many blankets and dolls.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Reiss; daughter, Brenda (Gene) Nader of Great Falls; son, Dan (Lisa) of Butte; grandchildren, Kameron Pendleton of Washington, Kira (Jake) Nader and Chase Nader both of Great Falls; and Lane Reiss of Helena; siblings, Fred Fatz, Elmer (Bonnie) Fatz, and Trudy (Darrell) Carlson; sister-in-law, Evelyn Fatz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, John and Violet Fatz; daughter, Wendy Reiss; sisters, Pauline Retchless, Pat ODell, Joann Korst, and Joyce (Tom) Davis; and brother, Jack Fatz.

She will be remembered as a gentle soul with a very kind and loving heart. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the following: McLean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center.
