Charles G “Charlie Reynolds” Galatz, 90 of Dutton, Montana passed away September 17, 2018 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls. Charlie was born on December 31, 1927 in Hibbing, Minnesota and was known as “Chuck” by his family. Charlie was one of 13 children. After leaving school, he came to Montana with his horse and dog. He then enlisted in the Navy during World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Cabot aircraft carrier. After four years of service and an injury, he discharged from the Navy. The cowboy life was Charlie’s blood as it allowed him to travel the country. Charlie had an adventurous life which included working as a ranch foreman for Bing Crosby and Jimmy Stewart. He loved to fish and kept his friends supplied with fresh fish. He finally settled in Dutton, having many friends and he will always be remembered as the life of the party. He was loved and will be missed by all. Charlie is survived by his son Charles T. Galatz of Great Falls, and other children, location unknown; brothers Tom and Sam (Carol) Galatz; sisters Bonnie (Dick) Dilliey, Mary Ellen (Bill) Suhonen, Eva (Al) Bemont, Annie (Bob) Peroceski, Bobbie (Bill) Jones and Donna Thellin; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Marie; brothers William “Bill”, George and Vernon; and sister Rose. Charlie requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peace Hospice in Great Falls or Dutton EMS.
