Charles Chuck Walter Turner, 84, of Great Falls passed away Tuesday, November 19th, 2013 of natural causes at the Benefis Hospital. Memorial services will be held Saturday November 23, 2013 at 10 am at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Chuck was born on June 24, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN. Chuck joined the United States Army and served during World War 2 in Europe. He was in the Battle of the Bulge and the United States landing at Normandy during World War 2. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, he worked various jobs while traveling and seeing the country. Chuck loved country western music, he even once met Johnny Cash, and he loved the old west ways. He was also a fan of Gene Autry and even once met Elizabeth Taylor. He was always a cowboy at heart until the day he died. Chuck was much loved by all of his family and will be missed greatly, even though we know he is with our Lord God, Savior Jesus Christ, and the Angels in Heaven. Chuck is survived by his wife, Judy (Arnold) Turner; son Russell Turner; daughters Beverly Cummins, Twila Cornelison, and Bonnie Turner; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte McDaniel; son Randall Turner; brother Daryl Cyr; and his sister-in-law Ruth Cyr.
