Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Christine was a beautiful wife, a loving mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and mentor to many. Christine started her second battle against cancer in December 2015 and she fought a very long, grueling battle against the disease over the past two years. She leaves a legacy of love, courage, and faith to all who knew her and will be missed by many. Christine A. Caldwell was born to Lee and Nancy Pate on August 5, 1960, in Great Falls Montana. She attended Ulm grade school, and Cascade and CMR High Schools. She married the love of her life, Gary Caldwell, on November 29th, 1982, and together they had three children; Brandon, Amanda, and Briana. She worked through the early years of her children's lives as a full time mom, full time Sunday school teacher, and a part time substitute school teacher; and as her children grew older, she held jobs as a Barista, Vitamin Consultant, and Children's Administrator for their church. She was deeply involved with her local women’s Bible Study Fellowship, both in Great Falls as well as in Bozeman, Montana, and she had a genuine passion for pursuing a deeper relationship with her Lord Jesus. She also had an overwhelming love for spending time with all of her grandchildren, taking long walks down the gravel roads around their home with her husband, spending time with their horses, reading, and enjoying God's creation. Christine is survived by her husband, Gary Caldwell; son Brandon (Katie) Caldwell; daughters Amanda Caldwell and Briana (Scott) Frasier; step daughter Phallon (Mark) Gradishar; father Lee (Janis) Pate; sisters LeAnn Oeleis, Penny (Butch) Ryan, and Missy (Brett) Severinsen; brothers Lee Pate Jr and Alan (Lisa) Pate; mother and father in law Jeannie (Merril) Klundt; aunts Carol (Don) Ennen and Marilyn (Earl)Vanderhoof; sisters in law Becky (Don) Berglund and Sherry (Dave) Lohman; brother in law Doug (Carla) Caldwell; grandchildren Alexander Gradishar, Teagan, Trevon, Treysen, Aiden, and Axton Caldwell; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Pate. The family asks that any memorials be given to the children’s ministry at New City Church, 4114 N. Park Trail, Great Falls, MT 59405.
