Daniel Eric Cornell

Sun River - Daniel Eric Cornell, 58, of Sun River MT went home to be with the Lord on October 5th 2018. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 at Simms High School. Dan was born on July 28th, 1960 in Havre, MT. He grew up in Turner, MT on the family farm along with his 7 siblings. He attended school at Northern Montana College in Havre, where he graduated with a degree in Metals Technology. While he was there, he met the love of his life, Joan. They were married on June 28th, 1985. They had four beautiful girls. Dan was known in life for his love of people, generosity, work ethic, service to others, and above all else his love for His savior, Jesus Christ. Dan’s joy for work was displayed in his true passion, farming. He was an active member in his church where he was the commander of the AWANA program for 10 years. He was a true example of unconditional love both, in his marriage, and with his daughters. He also found great enjoyment with the addition of two wonderful son-in-laws and grandkids. The loss of Dan will be felt deeply by his community and family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. His life and love have left a legacy and an example for those left behind. He is survived by his wife Joan; four daughters, Kelly Cornell, Stephanie (Eric) Skoog, Lindsey Cornell, Elizabeth (Tanner) Schnetz; his grandchildren, Juliette, Asher, Elsie, and baby boy Skoog; his seven siblings; Doug (Betty) Boyce, Darlene (Ron) Nelubowich, Dave (Teresa) Cornell, Don (Connie) Cornell, Dennis Cornell, Dale (Kim) Cornell, and Deanna (Leon) Lodge; his sister-in-law Karen Terry; and numerous other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents Linnie and Nedra Cornell; his brother-in-law Dave Terry, and his sister-in-law Ann LeSuer.
