Darlene Sue (Ryser) Hughes, 72, of Vaughn, Montana passed away December 28, 2014 in Great Falls. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2 2014, at O’Connor Funeral Home from 1pm to 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2014, at O’Connor Memorial Chapel at 4:00 pm. Darlene was born September 30, 1942 in Moose Lake, MN to Herman and Ellen Ryser. She graduated high school from John Rogers High School in Spokane, WA. Darlene was united in marriage to Robert Hughes in 1963 in North Pole, AK. They had two children, Tammy Jo and Robert Jr. Darlene enjoyed reading, canning, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She worked at Shopko Pharmacy in Great Falls, for 26 years. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Vaughn; daughter Tammy Jo Hughes (Stephen C. Smith) of Driggs, ID; son Robert (Angela) Hughes of Boise, ID, grandchildren Quinn Patrick Hughes and Hope Therse Hughes of Boise, ID, 10 nieces, 7 nephews; and brother Frederick Ryser of Spokane, WA. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jack Ryser and Jim Ryser; sisters Janette London, Elizabeth McQuire, and Velda Burdick, and nephew Alan London.
