Dawn R. Valley

Dawn R. Valley, 62, of Great Falls, died suddenly on April 10, 2020, of natural causes. Dawn was born in Iowa on June 4, 1957, to Hazel and Oliver Valley. She grew up in Wisconsin where she graduated from high school. She then became an EMT-Paramedic working in Minnesota and Oklahoma before coming to Great Falls. Dawn graduated from MSU-Northern with a BSN in nursing and began working in the Great Falls area. She was employed by the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind where she worked in the infirmary and spent time with the children helping with homework, playing UNO, and Dominos. In September 1998, she married Phillip Carden of Great Falls. Dawn had a passion for animals and worked many years at the spring and fall spay-neuter clinics. Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Phil; and her parents. She is survived by friends; co-workers; and many acquaintances in the area. In lieu of flowers, her friends suggest that donations in Dawn’s memory may be sent to Best Friends Animal Hospital or the Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center.
