Delores "June" Schott

January 6, 1935 — June 21, 2022

Delores “June” Habel Schott, age 87, passed away on June 21, 2022, at home with her loving husband, Larry by her side. A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday June 30, 2022, at the Black Eagle Community Center. She was born to Robert Habel and Mercia Allread Habel on January 6, 1935, in Great Falls. Her early life was spent on ranches in Centerville, Stockett, and Eden. She was the youngest of 3 and often called “Baby June.” June’s younger days were spent in the country surrounding Great Falls. She was a bit of a tomboy and would much rather be outside getting into as much mischief as possible. She lost her mother when she was only 16. All of the sudden, she had to come into the house and learn how to cook for her Dad. June attended schools in Centerville and graduated from Centerville High School in 1953. She later worked at The Great Falls Clinic and for several area doctors. Her favorites were Dr. Earl Hall and Dr. Dan London. June was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Habel; sister, Roberta Habel Feller; infant daughter, JaDee; and her in-laws, Dick and Dorothy Schott and Joyce Warner. June is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Larry; daughters, Kathy Gallagher (Jerry deceased) and Vicky (Ron) Tozier; son, Les Schott; grandchildren, Desiree (Matt) Brazier, Brandon Tozier, Casey Gallagher, and JR (Amanda) Gallagher; several great-grandchildren, Paisely Tozier, Bronson Brazier, Bennett Tozier, and Rhen Gallagher; and many nieces and nephews that she loved with all of her heart. Her door was always open. She married Robert “Rich” Richardson in 1956. They had two daughters, Kathy and JaDee Richardson (deceased). They later divorced but remained friends for the rest of their lives. June married the love of her life, Larry Schott in 1976. They were married for 46 great years. They blended our families together and we are all together with love to this day. June and Larry owned and leased many bars in Great Falls through the years. The Beacon, The J Bar T, and The Office Bar in Vaughn. They were known far and wide for their great hospitality and the wonderful times they had. If you knew June and Larry… you have a story. There are way too many to tell so I hope everyone will share with each other and with the family. They loved to travel. Going on several cruises with family and friends. They loved to go south in the winter (especially with their Canadian friends). They made many a road trip across the USA and enjoyed every second of it. Oh, the stories they would come back with!! Some of the best were with friends, Lola and Elmer; Shorty and Mary; Kim and Toni; and many more. Everyone they met became a friend. They also greatly loved their time at the lake. Beginning with Hauser and then bought their place at Holter Lake. Most importantly, were the neighbors that became good friends through the years. Many family reunions and just good times on the deck. Everyone ended up there sooner or later. Don and Sue Parks; Debbie and Dave Moltzan; and Curtis and Lori Hester were among so many that were special to June. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Auntie, and friend. Life will never be the same without you Mom. We all love you and will miss you forever. Even your doggies along the way, Duke, Peppy, Shumdit, Schottzie, Daisey, and last but not least, Gizmo. Above all, Junie Bug loved everyone. You were always welcome at their home through good times and bad. We all will celebrate this life with all the joy and love she had for us. If she loved you, you knew it
