Dona Lee Heggen

Dona Lee (Tait) Heggen passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 49, of natural causes on September 27th, 2015. A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 pm, October 2, at the familys home. Dona was born on May 4, 1966 in San Diego, CA and graduated from Academy of Our Lady of Peace in 1984. Moving to Montana at the age of 18, Dona met the love of her life, Eric Heggen, where they raised their three beautiful children. Dona worked numerous restaurant jobs throughout her life and was known for her delicious, home cooked meals. Dona was always surrounded by family and close friends, often times being found in her winter coat or robe, complaining she was cold even if it was 100 degrees outside. Her favorite place to be was outside near the fire with her beloved dog, Blu at her side, while watching her grandkids run and play in the backyard. She loved her shows, her all-time favorite being Jeopardy. Dona was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need earning her the nickname, Mother Theresa. Dona is survived by her husband of Great Falls, Eric Heggen; daughters Stephanie Heggen and Sara Heggen; son Josh Heggen; her father Donald Tait of San Diego; her sisters Dawn Tait, Diana Tait, and Diedre Tait; brothers John Tait and Jason Tait; her mother and father-in-law Wayne and Arlene Heggen of Seeley Lake. She was preceded in death by her mother Jeanne Tait and nephew Sam LaCroix.
