Donald Louis “PeeWee” Granot, 75, of Vaughn passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Peace Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Donald was born to Emma (Swan) Granot and Peter Granot Sr. on September 22, 1940 in Lewistown, MT. He grew up in Lewistown and attended school at St. Leo’s. In 1969, he married Doris LaFountain and they were later divorced in 1972. In 1993, he married the love of his life, Rita Brown at the Tavern Bar in Lewistown. PeeWee worked for Burlington Northern railroad for over 20 years. After that, he worked as a bartender at many places and making many friends. He loved to be outdoors, going camping, and fishing. He was also an avid card player. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. PeeWee was always known for telling the best stories and putting a smile on your face. PeeWee is survived by his wife, Rita; daughters Rebecca (Mike) Granot of Great Falls, Patty (Minh) Thi, Deanna (Jeff) Hutchins, Martha (Gill) Granot, and Selena (Michael) Yates all of Kansas City, MO; step-son Johnathan Adams of Great Falls; sister Cecilia Parker of Lewistown; brother John Granot of Lewistown; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Daniel Granot, Peter Granot, Jr., Charles Granot, and David Granot; and sisters Rebecca Granot and Marie (Ehlert) Granot.
