Dorothy Mae Lofstead

Dorothy Mae (Clelland) Lofstead, 75, formerly of Great Falls passed away at Rose Arbor Assisted Living in Hermiston, OR on May 23, 2013. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at O’Connor Funeral Home. Dottie’s service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Manchester Cemetery. Dottie was born March 25, 1938 in Catawba, WV, the daughter of Earl and Emil Carlotta Clelland. She attended schools in West Virginia before moving to Tucson, AZ, where she graduated from Tucson High School in 1956. In 1971 Dottie was untied in marriage to Charles T, Lofstead at Ft Huachuca, AZ. Before staying to raise her family, Dottie was employed as a dental assistant and had worked for the civil service. After her daughters were raised, Dottie worked as a nanny for 10 years, before retiring. Dottie was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and embroidery. Dottie had won many ribbons at the state fair for her baked goods and her ceramics as well. Dottie leaves behind her daughters, Virginia Lofstead of Great Falls, Debra (Bill) Wainwright of Umatilla, OR, a brother Russell Clelland of Aztec, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her parents and two brothers, Glenn and Charles Clelland.
