Dorothy S. Sampson

Dorothy S. Sampson, 80, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at a local care facility. A memorial service will be 4:00 pm Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Great Falls Church of Christ, 3400 Central Avenue. Visitation will be Monday, November 21, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at O’Connor Funeral Home, 2425 8th Avenue North. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Fort Harrison. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Dorothy was born September 2, 1936 in Baltimore Maryland where she attended high school. She met and married Samuel Sampson in the 1950’s and they had two children together, Samuel II and Sincerie. Samuel was in the U.S. Air Force and she enjoyed moving with her husband to air force bases all over the world. It was the Air Force that eventually brought them to Great Falls. Dorothy was a home maker and mother. And she was an active member of the Church of Christ. Dorothy is survived by her children Sincerie Johnson of North Carolina and Samuel Ivan Sampson II of Seattle Washington; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel in 2008.
