Dr. Warren Lucien Daley

February 2, 1922 — March 20, 2016

Dr. Warren Lucien Daley passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 with his family around him. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Town Square at Grandview on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Warren was born on February 2, 1922 in Greybull, Wyoming to Myrtle and Allen Daley. Dr. Daley spent his childhood in Greybull, graduating from Greybull High School. During his years in Greybull, Warren enjoyed fishing and hunting with his father in the Bighorn Mountains. In 1943 Warren joined the navy and was stationed in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for training. It was in Coeur d’Alene that he met the love of his life, Margaret, or “Margie” as he affectionately called her. They were married in September 8, 1944, before Warren was deployed to Hawaii. After his military service in WWII, Warren attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie and then he went on to graduate from dental school from the University of Pennsylvania. After earning his DDS degree, Warren and Margaret were anxious to move back west closer to their families. They decided to settle in Great Falls, where Warren opened his dental practice. Warren developed a thriving dental practice and was known as the “gentle dentist” because of the tender care he administered to his patients. Warren and Margaret have four daughters. Dad was a kind and nurturing father and dearly loved by his daughters. He instilled a thirst for learning, a good work ethic, and love for outdoor activities. He took his daughters swimming, snow and water skiing, fishing and hunting. Dad blessed our lives in so many ways. We will miss him beyond words. Warren loved his Montana home. He and Margaret developed many lifelong friendships which endured many decades. With these couples, they spent many hours golfing, skiing, playing bridge and traveling. After retirement, Warren and Margaret were able to enjoy traveling with friends. Warren is survived by his wife of 72 years, Margaret; daughters Christine (Michael) Casey, Connee (Jim), Moffatt, Kathleen (Jeff) Sowders, and Michelle (Jim) Belknap; grandchildren Erica (Forest) Mercill, Blake Larum, Kyle (Jocelyn) Juelfs and Lindsey Juelfs. Warren was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Brody and Brea Juelfs. Warren was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Daley. Memorial donations are suggested to Easter Seals-Goodwill or Gift of Life.
