Earl Davison, 81, of Highwood, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at Benefis East Hospital after succumbing to complications from Alzheimers disease. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 2 pm at the Highwood Community Methodist Church. Earl was a rancher in the Highwood Mountains for all of his married life. He and his wife, Jean, would have been married 60 years on July 1 of this year. Earls family knew that he would give his life for any of them without hesitation. However, his greatest desire in life was to glorify God. His love and devotion to God were transparent to all. Though Earls love for God touched innumerable lives, his humility and tenacity were what made him an exceptional man. Everyone knew of his love for preaching but Earls influence on his children was most often taught by example. The way Earl lived his life was his greatest gift to his family and those that loved him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Earl is survived by his wife, Jean; sons Bill (Debbie) Davison, Mike (Lynn) Davison, and Mark (Cheryl) Davison; daughters Julie (Mark) Pennewill and Rebecca (Kirtus) Hunsaker; and brother Fred Davison; He also has 14 grandchildren (Sam, Luke, Zeke, Sarah, Jessica, Aaron, Rachel, Tyler, Levi, Dakota, Maverick, Chase, Adam, and Brooklyn) and five great-grandchildren (Lewis, Natasha, Elliot, Jerod, and Riley). He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Bessie Davison; and brother Bill.
