Edna May Kielt

Edna “May” Kielt, 94, of Great Falls, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Peace Hospice. A memorial service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, December 15, 2017 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. May was born in Neihart, Montana on November 19, 1923 to William and Leona Knowles. She graduated from Neihart High School. In 1940 she married James J. Kielt in Dodson, MT and they would raise their family in Great Falls. May was a desk attendant at BPOE Elks Club bowling lanes and she was a member of the Elks Club women’s group, Does. May loved bowling and golfing with her husband and her friends. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and New York Times crossword puzzles. May is survived by her daughter Cheryl M. Berard; son James B. Kielt; sister Laura Kaiser; brother Bruce Knowles;grandchildren Angela (Jon) Williams,Cherie Yudiski, and Bob (Tina) Berard; and great- grandchildren whom she adored – Anna Stender, William and Jon Williams, Joshua and Tanner Yudiski, and Tyler and Ashley Berard. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James; sisters Dolly Strizich and Betty Austin; and brothers Hank and William Knowles.
