Edward Allan Renenger “Ed” passed away peacefully, surrounded by family members, on July 10, 2021, at the age of 76, at Benefis Hospital.Ed was born in Bell Gardens, CA on August 3, 1944, the oldest of three sons, to Edward and Mary Renenger.Ed is survived by his spouse, Della Y. Renenger; son, Gerald E. Renenger; daughter, Dawn M. White Bear; son, Anthony W. Renenger; brothers, Gerald S. and Donald M. Renenger; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed began his adult life serving in the United States Air Force. He was based in Thailand during the Vietnam war. Following his military service Ed spent 40 years of his life dedicated to his career in Life and Casualty insurance.He guided many in the beginning stages of planning for their financial needs and eventually for their future financial success.In later years, he served as the Compliance manager for a financial firm.He was a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF), the benchmark certification in his professional field.Additionally, he obtained degrees of certification and designation recognized in his profession through studies of financial and business standards, as well as continuing education requirements for licensure. He was a member of the Life Underwriters Training Counsel. Ed served his communities as a member, and President, of the Lions Club and Kiwanis Club.He volunteered many selfless hours of contribution during his lifetime, for the benefit of others. To his family, Ed was bigger than” LIFE”!If there was fun to be had, it happened if Ed was present.Many family gatherings were enjoyed by all with his uncensored “WIT” and” HUMOR”.Ed will be missed immensely. A Memorial in Ed’s honor will be held on October 6, 2021, at 11AM at O’Connor Funeral Home located at 2425 8th Ave North in Great Falls, Montana.Following the Memorial, family and friends are invited to a gathering at the home of the deceased in Great Falls. The following day on October 7, 2021, at 1PM, Ed will be interred at Montana State Veterans Cemetery, 1900 Williams St., also known as Fort Harrison Cemetery located in Helena, Montana.
