Frances Marie Buell

Frances Marie “Fran” Buell, 73, of Guildford, MT, passed away on October 12, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Fran was born on December 3, 1947, in Havre, MT, to Theodore and Ann Madsen. Fran was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She was born and raised in the Highline area. Fran graduated from Havre High School in 1966. In 1967, she married Anthony Albanito and their marriage brought forth three children. They later divorced in 1978. In 1981, Fran married James “Jim” Buell and became the mother to his four children, for a new total of seven children in the family. Fran was preceded in death by her parents; her infant brother, Richard Madsen; brother Milton Madsen; and children Michael and Tami Buell. Survivors include her husband, Jim; sisters Anna Mae Gomke, and Judy (Bob) Vosen; brothers Frank (Lois) Madsen, and Bill (Carol) Madsen; children Anne Marie (Steve) Chivilicek, William “Bill” (Ashley) Albanito, James (Dawn) Albanito, Sandy (Joe) Friese and Tracie Perryman. Fran will also be missed by her seventeen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A viewing and vigil service will be held for her at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Havre. A Funeral Liturgy will be held the following day at 11 a. m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, also at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Havre.
