Frances Gange

Frances (Adam) Gange, 89, of Great Falls, passed away Friday at a local care facility. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. with a vigil service starting at 4 pm at O’Connor Memorial Chapel.The funeral liturgy will be on Monday, at 11 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Frances was born June 29, 1928 in Orrin, North Dakota, the youngest of thirteen children born to Nicholas and Phillipena Adam.On March 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to Anthony Gange.They lived in various places in North Dakota until the late 1960’s when they moved to Montana.Frances and Anthony along with their family settled in Great Falls. Anthony passed away November 26, 1987. Frances with her husband were members of the Moose Lodge.She was a giving and loving mom and a very caring person.She enjoyed being a Foster Grandmother.She was a great cook and tried to keep the German Cooking Heritage alive with her children.Her Catholic Faith was an important part of her life. She is survived by four daughters and a son; Mary Lou (Ralph) Nease, Hutchinson, KS, Marilyn Barnes, Elizabeth (Joseph) Bailly, James (Jeri Lyn) Gange, all of Conrad, MT and Pamela Burger, Great Falls, MT, twenty-two grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as twelve siblings, four sons; Dwight, Donald, William, Gerard and a son, Gene who passed away three days after his mom.
