Frank William Langan, 91, of Great Falls passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Peace Hospice of natural causes. Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Mount Olivet Cemetery. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Frank was born February 13, 1922 in St. John, ND to John and Mary (Richard) Langan. He was raised and educated in the area before joining the United States Army. He served his country proudly during World War II, earning two purple hearts and numerous other metals. He was a master woodworker and crafted many different items for his family that they will always cherish. If Frank was ever missing, the best place to look would be in the garage. He spent many hours in there with his many machines and tools. He truly could fix anything! He loved hunting, fishing, boxing, and his favorite drink a “Caesar”. He was a member of the Eagles and the Elk Lodge as well as a member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Parish. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Jean Langan of Great Falls; sons Richard Duane (Dorothy) Langan of Great Falls and Alan “Tug” James (Betty) Langan of Great Falls; daughters Francine Jean Pinson of Livingston and Kathleen Ann (Ron) Davis of Great Falls; sister Clara (Bill) Koapke of Bottineau, ND; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Francis Langan; son-in-law Alan L. Pinson; parents; and two brothers.
