Gregory Leritz

Gregory “Lertz” Leritz, 58, of Belt, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 of natural causes. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Belt High School Gymnasium. Memorials may be sent to Geyser Ambulance, c/o Judith Basin County EMS, Stanford MT 59479. Greg was born October 8, 1957 in Anchorage, Alaska to Nick and Esther Leritz. He graduated from Belt Valley High School in 1975, joined the US Marine Corps until 1979, and graduated from the University of Montana in 1985. On October 10, 1981 he married the love of his life, Francie Urick. Greg worked in forestry for 10 years, and started building homes in 1996. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and any good debate. He was also an avid reader, and his pride and joy was his family. Greg is survived by his wife, Francie, of 35 years; their five children; nine grandchildren; and his brother Nick.
