Harold Edward Bossie, Jr., 69, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018, at Peace Hospice. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Harold was born March 18, 1948 in Maine. He was a Forest Ranger in Maine before entering into the U.S. Air Force. He entered the Air Force as a Wing Facility Maintenance Team Instructor and moved to Great Falls, MT where he met the love of his life, Sharon Petersen Bossie. They married July 21, 1974. During his career in the Air Force he had a hobby of designing and building homes for his much loved family. He built four beautiful homes in Great Falls, all of which he was asked to have in the home tours. Upon his military retirement he worked for Boeing on Malmstrom AFB until he officially retired around 2005. He spent his remaining years taking care of a family that loved him dearly. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. His four grandchildren adored him. He loved shopping, visiting with the staff at City Toyota, and building things in the garage. He loved animals and spending time outdoors camping and hiking. Harold showed great compassion for life by enduring through many years of physical and mental health issues. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sharon Petersen Bossie; daughter Rebecca (Seth) Boucher and their two children Anna and Brian; son Paul (Jenn Sigler) Bossie and their sons Kaelum and Nickolai; younger brothers Ronnie (Ruth) Bossie and Leo Bossie of Millinocket, Maine; sister Cheryl (Steve) Hawes; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Gloria Miller Basque. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sharon Bossie c/o Embark Federal Credit Union. The funds will be divided among the grandchildren to help with expenses.
