Harold Joseph Mcdunn

Harold Joseph McDunn, 59, of Great Falls, died on Friday, March 15, 2013 of natural causes at his residence. Rosary services will take place Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 7:00 pm at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 3:00 pm at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Burial services will take place at Loma at a later date. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Harold was born June 21, 1953 in Camp Pendleton, CA to Edward and Doris McDunn. His family soon moved to Great Falls where he was raised and educated. He graduated from Great Falls Central High School and went on to attend the College of Great Falls. On September 1, 1973 he was united in marriage to Debbie Lundquist. They soon started their own family and remained in Great Falls. He was employed by Buttrey Foods for 20 years as a warehouseman until health issues forced his retirement. Harold was very active in his church community and loved God. He stayed active volunteering at numerous non-profit organizations. He was an active member of AA in his community and touched many lives. Doing for others was his way of life. Harold enjoyed farming, biking, hiking, and spending time with his grandchildren. In his younger years, Harold was known for his race cars. He competed in racing and was known to those around him as number 63. He passed this love onto his children. Harold is survived by his wife, Debbie McDunn; parents Edward and Doris McDunn;daughters Aimee (Casey) Steffenson, Shawna (Darrin) Davenport, Veronica (Nick) Redeau, and Jennifer (John) O’Boyle all of Great Falls; son Joe (Tammy) McDunn of Great Falls; sisters Patsy Judd of Helena, Barbara (Terry) Fifield of Maple Valley, WA, Colleen Durand of Tacoma, WA, Georgia (Ken) Miller of Great Falls, and Linda (Eldon) Engen of Casper, WY; brothers Tom (Camille) McDunn of Butte, Dan (Melissa) McDunn and Steve (Lisa) McDunn both of Great Falls;grandchildren Mason, Kaylee, Abby, Mackenzie, Marissa, Mashayla, Lacey, Alyssa, Chevy, and Hailey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Lois Diacon and LeRoy and Marie McDunn; and in-laws Lloyd and Katie Lundquist.
