Hazel A. Petrus

Hazel Alma Petrus, 63, of Great Falls, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery with Deacon Bill Medved presiding. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Hazel was born March 1, 1953 to Ralph and Ruth Vaughn in Havre, Montana. She was one of 4 children. She attended schools in Havre and graduated from Havre High School. She married the love of her life William Petrus. William and Hazel moved to Great Falls. Hazel loved to travel, collect trinkets and do puzzle books. She also enjoyed going on long walks and feeding the birds at Gibson Park in Great Falls. She is survived by sister Kathryn (Benny) Spears of Crestline, OH; and brother David (JoAnn) Vaughn of Havre, MT. Hazel was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and Ralph Vaughn; husband William Petrus in 1992; and twin brother in 1997, Donald Vaughn.
