Heidi Rae (Bohrnsen) Annau, age 59, Great Falls, Montana, passed away Tuesday June 5, 2018, at Peace Hospice surrounded by her loving family, following a two-year battle with breast cancer. Heidi was born in Anaconda, Montana, to John and Judy Bohrnsen, the second oldest of five children. She was raised in Philipsburg and graduated from Granite High School in 1977. Heidi moved to Great Falls shortly after graduation where she attended one year of trade school.She married Tom Annau in 1985 and had one daughter Chelsey Annau. Heidi worked for Dr. John McGregor, Johnson Distributing and more recently as Executive Assistant atNOHVCC, National Off Highway Vehicle Conservation Council. Heidi’s hobbies included reading, dirt bike riding, camping, hiking, and driving her white truck and more recently jeep along the back roads of Great Falls with the stereo blasting to rock and roll songs. She was a loving and supporting Mom and took pride in being a new Grandma to Liam, her 4-month old grandson. Heidi’s love for dirt biking was an understatement, as many know, which lead to many painstaking injuries and adventures but also connected her to many lifelongfriends. Many summer and fall weekends were spent camping, dirt biking, hiking and laughing in the mountains with family and friends. You could also find Heidi in a comfy chair with a cup of tea reading one of her many novels. Her amazing sense of humor, charisma, charm, positive outlook and adventuresome spirit will be greatly missed. She lives on in all the hearts of those she has touched. Heidi is survived by her husband, Tom Annau, daughter Chelsea Annau, grandson Liam Annau, sister, Nicole (Les) Marsh and brothers, Mark (Kathleen), Dan (Stephanie) and Chris Bohrnsen and Rico, her beloved chocolate lab. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Judy and John Bohrnsen. The family would like to thank Dr. Warr and Patsy and the entire staff at Great Falls Clinic Oncology for their outstanding care and love for Heidi during her battle with breast cancer, as well as Peace Hospice during her final days. Cremation has taken place. There will be no services. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 9th.
