Helen D. (Oryhoski) McCune, 96, of Great Falls, a homemaker, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from natural causes at her home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the direction ofO’Connor Funeral Home. Helen was born March 14, 1917 in Great Falls. She was raised here and graduated from Great Falls High School. She first married Dibs Kleinhans, but they later divorced. In the early 50’s Helen was united in marriage to Alex McCune in New York City, NY. Alex passed away in 1955. Helen worked for National Laundry, Franklin School Cafeteria as a cashier, and was a bookkeeper at Dibs TV. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Franklin School Mothers’ Chorus, and was a member of a local flower club. She played and watched baseball, enjoyed cooking, camping, and gardening. She took a wood working class and found that she was a natural carpenter. She was also a seamstress and a loving caregiver. Helen is survived by her son, Charlie McCune of Great Falls; sister Stella Janosov of Great Falls; two grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Alex McCune; son Dibby Kleinhans; brother Joseph Oryhoski; and sisters Mary Davis, Katherine Bacon, and Rose Hilgers. Memorials in Helen’s name may be made to St. Joseph Chapel.
