Henry Daly

Henry Daly, 85, of Great Falls, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Benefis from complications with pneumonia. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Henry was born August 8, 1930 in Great Falls. He grew up on the west side of Great Falls and attended Catholic school. While attending school he went to work for Great Northern Railway which became more interesting to him than school. He joined the US Army in April of 1952. He was stationed in San Francisco and Labrador, New Foundland. Henry was honorably discharged in New Jersey. Henry married Anna Rose in 1966. He worked on many construction projects, many with Laborers International Union of North America Local #1334. Henry enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, gardening and watching football with friends and family. Family meant the world to him. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling and listening to jokes, which would always put a huge smile on his face. Henry is survived by sister Dorothy Thompson of Rapid City, SD; brother William (Mary) Daly in Canyon Ferry, MT; sisters Martha Holland of Susanville, CA and Mary (Dick) Purnell of Helena, MT; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins He was preceded in Death by his parents, Vincent and Julia Daly; brothers Harry, Lional and Vincent Daly; and sister Patricia Daly Freer. Henry will be greatly missed. He was a proud man and loved by many! Love you more.
