Herbert Cahill

Herbert Cahill, 91, of Great Falls, a WWII US Navy Veteran and US Air Force Veteran, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Peace Hospice. At his request no service will be held. Private inurnment will be at Fort Harrison VA Cemetery in Helena, MT. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Herbert was born August 21, 1926 in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. He served in the United States Navy onboard the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga during WWII. In 1949 he re-enlisted in the US Air Force and proudly served until 1977 when he was honorably discharged. Herb married Marilyn M. Neumann in October of 1958, a marriage that would last 55 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn who passed away June 6, 2014.
