After a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, Izora Kay Gallagher passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022, at Peace Hospice with her loving husband at her side. Izora aka "Ike" was born in Kearny, Nebraska on October 4, 1942, to Glenn and Isabelle Stubbs. She was the youngest of 13 siblings. Izora came to Montana as a young girl and graduated from Great Falls High School. Her friend Rachael introduced her to her twin brother Ray. They fell in love and married in 1960. They were soon blessed with 2 sons, Raymond M. Gallagher Jr. and John E. Gallagher. She spent her early married years raising her sons. Later she obtained her CDL and criss-crossed the country trucking with her husband. She was very accomplished in crocheting, knitting, and needlepoint. You would find her every summer at the Great Falls Marketplace displaying and selling her handiwork. The fun part for her was meeting people and discussing techniques. Friends and relatives were often the recipients of her craft in the form of sweaters, scarves, and more. She also won many ribbons for her needlework at the Montana State Fair. Izora is survived by her beloved husband, Ray; sons, Raymond Jr. (Eileen) and John E. (Viki); her remaining siblings, brothers, Mike and Eddie Stubbs, and sister, Wava Stubbs, all of Montana; sisters-in-law, Rachael, Bobbie, Lacy, Faith, and Kathy Gallagher; brothers-in-law, Barry, Mike, and Ron Gallagher; good friend, Ozzie Osborne; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. At the family's request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place.
