J. The Barr and Butler families sadly announce with profound regret the transition of J. Benedictus Barr Sr. to be with the Lord.This sad event occurred on Friday July 7, 2017 at 4:15 pm, in Great Falls, Montana, U.S.A., at home. A memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm, Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at the LDS Great Falls Montana East Stake, 1015 15th Avenue South. J.B. Barr was born in Pleebo District of Maryland County, Liberia to John and Chea Tannie Barr. J.B. Barr worked at the University of Liberia as Administrative Assistance to the Dean of Liberal and Fine Arts; Director, Office of Procurement; Director, Office of Personnel/Instructor and Political Science; Assistance Professor and Acting Chairman at Department of Political Science.He also worked as Information Office/Coordinator/Planning Officer at the Ministry of Information; Director, Division of Procurement at Ministry of Education and Director, Bureau of National Procurement (GSA). He was a true public servant to his country. J. Benedictus Barr Sr. leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, mother of his children and loving friend Catherine R. Butler; daughter Joyce Barr Afolabi; sons J Benedictus Jr., Prince, Rudolph, Aloysius, Adolphus, Lorenzo, and Michael Barr; grandchildren, Benealda, Ruddie, Catherine, Teto, Kathie, Lorenzo, Gideon, Danzel, Joyce, Massa, Henretta, Pearl, Michella; great grandchildren, Joy and Charline; his lifetime friend and brother Mr. Jieven Vandekerckhove and a host of other relatives.
