Jack W. Gamble, 90, of Great Falls, a retired rural mail carrier and United States Army veteran, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Park Place. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 10 am at Park Place Healthcare Center. Graveside services will also be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 1 pm at Pleasant View Cemetery in Belt. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Jack was born March 10, 1923 in Elm Grove, WV. He was raised in the area and went on to join the United States Army. He completed 50 aerial combat missions with the 2nd Bomb Group, 20th Aerial engineer squadron as an upper turret gunner in the European Theatre. Jack is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Gamble of Belt; daughters Pat Martin of Mukilteo, WA and Pam Arlint of Yacolt, WA; sons Jack M Gamble of Great Falls, Jim Gamble of Lewistown, and Michael Gamble of Belt; stepson Steve Abrams of Hillsboro, OR; 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence; daughter Michelle; stepson Jeff Abrams; and step-grandson Jordan Abrams.
