Jacquian “Jackie” A. Higgins, 90, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse, and friend returned home after completing her lifelong service on January 11, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, February 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 525 2nd Avenue North, Great Falls, MT 59401. Jacquian was born on November 30, 1927 in Livingston, MT to William and Stella Brown, the second child of three.She graduated from Victor School in 1944 with honors and moved to Great Falls to attend Columbus School of Nursing.After graduating as a Registered Nurse, she married Noel Higgins. The couple purchased a home and settled in Black Eagle, MT where they raised four children. She became a member of First Baptist Church when she moved to Great Falls and was a pillar of her church community. Jackie lost her husband Noel after thirty-two years of marriage in 1980.After retiring in 1988 from nursing she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening and playing the piano. In May of 2013 she reconnected with her high school beau Gale and they were married that September.They were together for three years until Gale’s passing in December of 2016. She is survived by a sister Joy Clark; daughters Patrice Higgins and Beverly Pechta; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands Noel Higgins, and Gale Gingerich; daughter Barbara Higgins; son Michael Higgins; and brother William Brown.
