James "Jim" Lee Kiefer

James “Jim” Kiefer, 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at a Great Falls hospital. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Jim was born April 11, 1937 to Joseph and Marie Kiefer. Jim graduated from Chinook High in 1955. He married Carol, his high school sweetheart, in 1957 and raised his two daughters in Havre. Jim retired from Hill County Electric, married Lucy and relocated to Great Falls. Jim is remembered as charismatic and fun loving with a great sense of humor. Jim was well-liked and had a smile for everyone. He enjoyed country western music, dining out, and was a seasoned gambler who frequently won. Jim is dearly loved, admired, and will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Jim is survived by his wife of 34 years Lucy Kiefer; two daughters Kari and Laurie Kiefer; ex-wife Carol Kiefer; brother Joe Kiefer; stepdaughters Ann (Dana), Vicky, and Brenda; stepson Gene; grandchildren Chloe, Jared, Tyler, Jacob, Devin and Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchild Amanda.
