Jay Thomas Jarvey

Jay Thomas Jarvey, 69, of Great Falls, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his home. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at O’Connor Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Jay was born on May 21, 1948 in Great Falls, and raised on Hill 57. Jay would be the first Native to graduate from Charles M. Russell High School. After school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country honorably. Later in life, Jay met and married Karen Nomee, his wife and best friend. Jay worked various jobs throughout his life and he enjoyed his latest job as an Easter Seals job recruiter the most. Jay’s family meant the world to him. He loved being in the great outdoors, working on his property and feeding his magpies. Jay is survived by his wife Karen Nomee; daughter Jayme Jarvey; sons Daniel Jarvey, Jay Kromarek, and Jon Kromarek; sisters Dorothy, Patty, Deborah, Judy, Kathy, Terri, and LuAnne; brothers Jack, Alan, Larry, and Jimmie; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and five brothers.
