Joanna Janicke

Joanna M. “Billie Jo” (Schrapps) Janicke, 85, of Great Falls, passed away November 24, 2017. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 4, 2107 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 2101 26th St S. Joanna was born December 12, 1931 in Great Falls. She attended the University of Montana and the College of Great Falls. She moved from Great Falls in 1952 and worked as a secretary/bookkeeper in Idaho and California.She returned to Great Falls in 1971.She then went to work at Pacific Hide and Fur, retiring in 1994. She married Roland Owen in 1953. They later divorced. She married Kenneth Janicke in 1977. He died in 1993. Joanna was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, suduko, and volunteer work, (when she could). She is survived by her son Kerry Owen; stepson Fred (Bonnie) of Great Falls; stepdaughter Cathy (David) Davie of Billings; step-grandchildren Joshua Janicke, Jessica Porter and Thomas and Ashley Davie; step-great grandchildren Jordyn and Madisen Porter, Korriona and Kalub Janicke; niece Crystal Baker and son Brockton of Seattle. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Janicke; parents William and Agnes Schrapps; son Leonard Owen; brother John Schrapps; and her ex-husband and dear friend Roland Owen.
