John Dale Atkinson Ii

John Dale Atkinson II, 47, of Great Falls, passed away on January 25, 2021. He was born on December 9, 1973, at R.A.F. Lakenheath in England. As a military child, he grew up in several states. In 1993, he graduated from Mascoutah High School in Mascoutah, IL. He then moved to Great Falls where he would live for the rest of his life. He worked as a cook at Park Place Healthcare Center for over 25 years. He was also a proud member of the Black Eagle Volunteer Fire Department and was the current Commander of Squadron Three for the Sons of the American Legion. He is survived by his parents, JD and Linda Atkinson of Great Falls; sister, Susan (Chris) Tomlinson of Henderson, NV; a nephew; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 30, from 10 am to 4 pm at O’Connor Funeral Home, (2425 8th Ave N) and a celebration of life on Monday, February 1, from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Elks Club, (500 1st Ave S).
