John William Mclaughlin Jr

John William McLaughlin Jr. of Ulm, died at the age of 70 from natural causes at his residence on November 24, 2014. A memorial service will take place on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel. O’Connor Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. John was born on November 22, 1944 in Shelby, MT to John and Isabelle McLaughlin. In 1981 he married his wife of 33 years, “Jeannie” Simonson, in Choteau. They moved to Simms for ten years where he loved the Valley. In1994 they moved to Ulm. He worked as a carpenter until he was disabled in a car accident. He enjoyed horses, hunting, watching Wrestle Mania, rodeos and football. John loved garage sale-ing with his brother Dale, with the grandkids or alone. He was a collector of many things. He couldn’t live without his coffee and cigarettes. John is survived by his wife, Norma “Jeannie”; sons Jed (Katherine) McLaughlin of Ridgecrest, CA and Jeremy (Jennifer) McLaughlin of Great Falls; daughter Jackie Sue McLaughlin of Ulm; brothers Dale McLoughlin, Gary (Kathy) McLaughlin, and Hugh (Kristy) McLaughlin; sisters Mary (Duane) Larson of Great Falls, Jane (Paul) Walker, and Jean Ann White of Pittsburg, CA; and grandchildren Carmen and Serenity Kelly and Anthony, John, and Connor McLaughlin. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Isabelle McLaughlin; brother Robert J. McLaughlin; and sister Linda (Jim) Valley.
