Karen Marie Garber

Karen Marie Garber, age 69, of Great Falls, Montana passed away on January 13, 2023, at the hospital with her loving family by her side.

Karen was born on September 15, 1953, in Tomah, Wisconsin to William and Theresa (Hemmersbach) Abbott. She attended school in California and Tomah, Wisconsin. She married George Garber in Tomah, Wisconsin on June 24, 1972. They were blessed with two sons and two daughters: Mark, Lisa, Nicole, and Jonathan.

She was an excellent homemaker while the kids were growing up and worked at Kmart and the Eagles later on in life. She loved reading romance novels, playing Bunco with friends, playing on her iPad, making bracelets, and watching her kids and grandkids with sports and other activities. Her family was the absolute joy of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Abbott and her son Jonathan Garber. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Garber; mother, Theresa Abbott; son, Mark (Brenda Michelotti) Garber; daughters, Lisa (Davis) Almanza and Nicole (Tom) Eastwood; siblings, Patricia (Jerry) Matthews, William Abbott, Coleen (Edward) Dionne, David (Mary Jane) Abbott, Eleen (Chris) Eversum, Keith Abbott, and Sharon (William) Hass; grandchildren Juniper Eastwood, Jace Almanza, Sydney Eastwood, Blake Almanza, Autumn Eastwood, Kendal Garber, and Adeline Almanza; plus, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date so that friends and family will be able to attend. Her wishes are to be buried above her son, Jonathan, at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
