Karen Amanda Royland, 68, of Great Falls, passed away due to organ failure on October 28, 2020 at the Ivy Nursing home. Karen was born in Great Falls, Montana to Carsten and Leona M. (Larson) Royland. She attended schools in Great Falls. She moved to Utah in her twenties, where she worked at Hill Air Force Base. After living in Utah for 36 years, she retired from HAFB and moved back to Great Falls. Karen is survived by her daughters, Tammy Guthrie of Great Falls and Marie (Ryan) Wilder of Utah. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, who also survive her. She is survived by a sister, Bette Parkin of Utah and cousin, Linda Royland Finney of Sun River to whom we are greatly appreciative of helping and taking care of our mom. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Carsen Royland; stepmother, Jeri Royland; mother, Leona McKenzie; stepfather, Victor McKenzie; brothers, Steven Royland and Michael Royland; sister, Bonnie Royland; loving aunt, Renee Larson Prareateau; and grandparents, Lester and Amanda Larson and Nickolas and Sophia Royland. Graveside service will be on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery under the direction of O’Conner Funeral Home.
