Kenneth L. Mann, 64, of Great Falls, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at a local hospital from cardiac arrest. A memorial service will be held at Ulm Bible Church on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Kenneth LeRoy Mann was born August 30, 1948 to Kenneth and Eva (LaFromboise) Mann in Great Falls. He attended Cascade High School prior to entering the US Navy in 1968. He was on the USS Oriskany aircraft carrier and survived a fire on the ship by crawling out of a porthole. After serving in the Navy for four years, he joined the Great Falls Police Department serving the Great Falls community for 21 years before retiring in 1993. While working at the police department, he was also an active member of the Air National Guard. He always worked side jobs to help provide the best for his family. Ken enjoyed NASCAR and even raced stock cars himself for many years. Ken could always be found helping his brother who owned the Electric City Speedway. He never missed a race. Ken is survived by his wife, Karen Mann of Great Falls; son Justin Mann of Great Falls; brothers Dan Mann of Great Falls and Arthur Roach of Helena; sister Melody Henrie of Ulm; four grandchildren, Mandy Mann, Brandon McMillan, Jaden Mann and Alanna English; and one great-grandchild, Kira Lee Mann. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Darcy Lee, and his parents.
