Kenneth Edward Veen

Kenneth Edward Veen of Great Falls, Montana, died on June 6, 2023.

A lifetime Great Falls area resident, Ken was born on September 25, 1953, to parents Marvin and Marva Veen. As a child, Ken loved spending time on his grandparents’ property south of town where, alongside his grandfather, Albert Prinzing, he rode horses and cared for farm animals.

Ken purchased the property he played on as a child and continued to care for and ride horses. His favorite was Chug, but since Ken wouldn’t stand to know an animal was being mistreated or lacked proper care, he also ended up with an ornery cuss of a horse named Sunny.

Ken was passionate about music and film, with regular repeats of his favorite songs and scenes. In work and personal life, he was an attentive, patient, and compassionate caregiver.

Ken is survived by his daughter, Jessica Veen Welles; sister, Linn Veen; and brother, Hal Veen.

In alignment with Ken’s wishes, no services are being held. Memorials can be made to animal support organizations.
