Kerry Patrick Fagenstrom, 78, of Great Falls, MT, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 of natural causes. No services will be held.At his request his ashes will be spread over his beloved ranch. Cremation has been in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home. Kerry was the son of Cregor P. Fagenstrom and Joan A. Verstagen born December 16, 1938. He Served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1963 in Aviation Electronics Repair and was honorably discharged. After the Navy he worked for Grumman Aircraft in New York. He was a board member of the, family owned, Anderson Ranch Company in Cascade, MT and the Anderson Construction Company in Great Falls. He married Sophie Kretko July 18, 1964 in New York and raised his 2 children with his wife in Great Falls. He spent a large amount of his childhood out on the family ranch and continued this tradition with his children. Kerry was a 3rd degree Master Mason, past Worshipful Master of the Delta Lodge, member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, Past Worthy Patron Order of Eastern Star, and a Shrine clown. He loved to make people laugh, was kind and generous, rarely met anyone he couldn’t make smile and was a devoted husband and father. He always said “Don’t mourn my passing, celebrate my life. Let your tears be of joy and not sorrow. We will meet again.” He is survived by wife Sophie Fagenstrom; daughter Julie Fagenstrom-Young; son Peter R. Fagenstrom; five grandchildren - Megan R. Johnson, Tyler F. Wright, Ryan L. Wright, Michael R. Jones and Taylor Jones; five great grandchildren; brother Patrick Fagenstrom; and sister Joyce Fagenstrom. He was preceded in death by father Cregor Fagenstrom and mother Joan Verstagen; and brother Rory Fagenstrom. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
